In the introductory provisions of its most prominent legal act, the OCS-ASF commits to looking after the environment in a responsible manner. The European Charter on Sports (1992, Article 10 – Sports and Environmental Protection), the EU White Paper on Sports (2007, Chapter 2.8 – Supporting Sustainable Development) and the Olympic Charter (2001, Article 2/13) state that all of the participants in sports contribute to a responsible attitude towards the environment.
The Committee for Sports and Environment of the OCS-ASF prepared the Code of Environmental Protection and Nature Conservation of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia – Association of Sports Federations, which was confirmed on 15 May 2012 by the Executive Committee of the OCS-ASF and adopted on 19 June 2012 by the Assembly of the OCS-ASF.
